How to Spot Your Ideal Writing Schedule?
Choose what works for you
When I started writing, I was inspired by many articles to write in the morning.
But this did not work for me. I got headaches while writing in the morning.
Then, I tried to write in the late evenings after work. But the hectic day would exhaust my energy. I would have many ideas but did not have the energy to write.
So this time also did not work for me.
Then I created my schedule.
Writing in short sprints
I outlined a few content topics on Sunday evening. Then, I would create small bullet points in each section to remember what to write. However, I did not do any active writing.
In the next week., I write for about 10-15 minutes whenever I would get some free time. I fill up the outlined section with the help of the bullet points.
I do not have to think what to write
Writing for 10-15 minutes in easy and fun
Free time never gets boring and lonely
It’s easy to finish an article of 500 words in a day or two
I repeat this activity throughout the day. That means, I may not write at a stretch for 1-2 hours a day but I manage to write for about one hour with these multiple short sprints.
I edit all the content during the weekends. Check my free editing guidelines to save hours on editing.
However, I found one point during this writing schedule. Planning the content for the next few weeks helps a lot.
Content Planner
When I was writing without planning, it was overwhelming for me.
I got confused on which platform I was writing what content
I lost track of the content status( whether its published, edited, or unpublished)
I checked many content planning apps but nothing suited my hectic days.
So, I created my content planner in a simple Excel sheet.
It works magically!
Minimalism wins.
Next, I faced another problem. Sometimes I did not get enough content ideas. So I created my solution for it.
ChatGPT Prompts
I worked with ChatGPT prompts and created custom prompts for me that will give me content ideas for different platforms.
It saves my time while writing
It helps me avoid writer’s block
Writing becomes easy
I have created a 90-day content planner with ChatGPT prompts to generate content ideas.
